Interserve, the international support services, construction and equipment group, has been awarded a place on the new £205m framework for the North West with Highways England.
The framework forms part of the asset delivery contracts for Highways England’s Area 10, helping improve journeys for road users in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire.
The framework covers ten different specialisms of work, including renewal work to roads and bridges, and improvement schemes on the Highways England road network. Interserve and other contractors will work alongside the maintenance, response and design services contractors that were announced for the area last year.
The framework agreement will run for four years and Interserve is currently mobilising to begin delivering key services from April 2019.
Interserve Construction is currently working on several projects for Highways England including a package of maintenance and improvements on the M11, A120 and A11 in Essex and Cambridgeshire and the £4m upgrade of the M271 Redbridge roundabout near Southampton Docks.
Wayne Howell, Associate Director at Interserve Construction said:
“We are very pleased to be continuing our successful partnership with Highways England through the North West England framework and applying our innovative processes to these projects. Infrastructure represents a core strength for the company and this contract award aligns with our strategy to grow construction, engineering and infrastructure services with strategic clients such as Highways England.”
