ecobuild’s Considerate Credentials

ecobuild is leading the way in displaying its considerate credentials, by becoming the first industry event to be a Professional Partner of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

“We will be using the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice as an industry standard to help ensure the event is achieving the highest standards in key areas such as being an inclusive and respectful event for everyone as well as minimising the environmental impact of the event through waste and resource management.”

The Scheme’s fundamental values represent everything we work hard to promote at ecobuild, and together, we’re confident that we will be able to have a positive impact on the industry and its image.

The Scheme – the organisation established to improve the image of the construction industry – has worked with ecobuild 2018 to develop a set of criteria for the event to demonstrate its considerate credentials, in line with the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.

The aim of the partnership is to make the event as considerate as possible in respect of the environment, workforce and community. Surrounding the ecobuild conference will be curated areas, shining a light on innovation and demonstrating the different ways in which disciplines within the built environment sector approach sustainability.

Considerate Constructors Scheme Chief Executive Edward Hardy said: “The Scheme is delighted to partner with ecobuild 2018. With thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors and presenters attending construction events each year, events have an extremely important role in showcasing the highest standards of consideration in the construction industry. As such, partnering with ecobuild – one of the UK’s industry leading events – was a natural fit in order to support the event to demonstrate its considerate credentials.

“We look forward to this Partnership inspiring other like-minded events to work with the Scheme to improve standards and to promote a positive image of the construction industry in the future.”
